Following on from the very popular Wing Boost Fan Testing @ OCUK. Vortez.net are here again with Round 2. This time we will be taking at look at an older model in the Alpenfohn portfolio... but this is not to be under-estimated.

Alpenfohn Brocken CPU Cooler (Direct Contact)

As with previous rounds:

I'd like those who are interested in testing these coolers to post within the thread and on Friday 20th May @ 22:00GMT (Tomorrow) I will select random members, obtain postal address and get coolers sent. What we'd like you to do is report on your own personal experience with the coolers and post it on the forums with a few pictures and just a summary of your findings. We aren't looking for comprehensive analysis (although if you want to... go for it!) its a means by which we can get the Alpenfohn brand out there and see what people really think of their products. It should be a lot of fun - I'm looking forward to reading your opinions!

I'd love to test one to compare it to my Tuniq 120 on my Q6600 :)

Comparison against my Antec Kuhler on my i7 920, and performance on my Phenom II 720 Black Edition (x3) will obviously also be done :)

As with the last give-away, I'm more than down with this!!

See if I can get a higher score in the Masters of Overclock competition while I've got it ;) lol

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

I've still got some IC Diamond 24 to test it with, so we'll get some good results there I would think :)

Yeah, I wouldnt mind testing one of these out! Will be able to compare it to my Alienware water Cooler (Basically the Corsair H50)

Would love to test one of these on my 1090T. I can test it against Stock Cooler and Arctic Freezer Extreme. Have a Tube of MX-4 I have been itching to find a use for.

+1 to the website for listing the compatible CPU's which are same as most of them - 1x mounting parts for socket 775,1156,1366, AM2, AM2(+), AM3

I also would like to test this cooler.

I can compare it against a Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 on an overclocked i7 920.

count me in.

Currently have a freezer 7 that struggles to keep the temps down with over 4.4, so would be good to see what a "bigger/better" cooler can do.
