1. Which lane would you personally get in for the 2nd exit (to the /right/ of Iceland?)
2. If somebody in the left lane taking the 2nd exit undertakes somebody in the right lane going round the roundabout here, is that OK?
Observations:
The road markings in the roundabout indicate two lanes in one direction of travel only (between the two sections of dual carriageway). Coming from Tesco and heading toward Iceland, there appears to be only one lane.
I've also seen several (near) accidents here, when people travelling between the two sections of dual carriageway take the left hand lane, but turn right around the roudabout. The accident occurs when somebody in the right hand lane intends to go straight on, exiting into the right hand lane of the next bit of dual carriageway. Is that allowed?
It's my understanding that at a roundabout intersecting a dual carriageway, you can use both lanes to go straight ahead, since somebody in the left lane should not be turning right...
Having said that, there are no actual rules are there, beyond "left lane for first exit, right lane for last exit". Everything in between is at driver discretion...
