Router or Mesh

So instead of buying the full kit with the magnetic antenna you went for 2 cubes ? So can you connect one router to another then ?
Yeah, I just purchased 2 of the little cubes instead
They connect to each other on a separate wireless signal and the upstairs one provides another 4x ethernet ports so I can hard wire a pc (or 4) or Tv/whatever up there too

So how do you connect the 2 HD Cubes together ? I have a 2 floor house which is roughly 1900 sq feet so don't think I need the full kit.

i switched the first one on and connected the ethernet cable to my virgin hub (in modem mode). Then I powered on the second Amplifi HD, opened the app, waited for it to scan and find the two routers and told it to add the second as a mesh point.
Took the 2nd router upstairs, plugged in the power took a minute or so to connect and it just works now
Currently it's been up for 16 days without any dropouts which were quite frequent previously on just the hub3

The app on phone/tablet makes it all really simple

I guess if you need the ethernet ports then 2 are ideal but for me I need the wifi coverage so the HD cube and a single mesh point should cover the house and be a little cheaper.

Went for Google Wifi in the end. Once I receive it I noticed on a forum that one guy plugged it into a spare port on the router and set it up then disabled the superhub wifi once setup. Is that the best way or should you use the superhub in modem mode. If I can simply disable wifi on superhub then I could use the additional ethernet ports without getting a switch.

I went for Google WiFi as well but I've not set it up yet as I'm not moving in to the new house until late next week. My new internet is provided by Sky with their new Sky Q hub which apparently cannot be used in modem only mode but I can see that you can disable the Sky DHCP server and Wi-fi so will do that and set a static IP for the primary Google wifi router and let the google set DHCP reservation and obvioulsy the Wi-fi, well that is the plan. As long as you are happy with letting the google WiFi act as your primary router then setting your SuperHub to modem only mode is the best way to go.

It's best to buy 2 AmpliFi routers, the 2nd router can operate as a mesh point but it also then gives you the flexibility of 4 additional network ports and also ethernet backhaul if required.

Just to dredge this up but i've read the Amplifi routers don't support ethernet backhaul?
