Ok, i have a Netgear 834N modem router, which is fine (connected to Be*) and i have a long ethernet cable fed from 834N to my consevatory. This feeds a computer fine via ethernet, but i wish to plug in a Netgear WGR614 v6 to this ethernet lead, so i can have this router sending out a wireless signal to my big garden (the 834N range will not reach wirelessly). Is this possible, if so im a bit lost on how to set it up. Thanks

what you need to do is connect the ethernet cable to a LAN port on the netgear WGR614. In the router configuration make sure you disable DHCP, as having 2 routers both acting as a DHCP server within a network can cause problems. Then just simply set up the wireless settings, such as choosing a channel as far away as possible from any other channels in use, using proper security, and then setting up the wireless devices with the settings to connect to the network.

which router do i disable the dhcp, the 614 ?

It doesn't realy matter which you disable it on, but since your main router which is connected to the internet already has DHCP enabled, you may as well leave that as it is and disable it on the 614 when you connect it to the network.

ok, i have done this, but i get no net via wireless via the 614 (dhcp disabled on it, and the ethernet lead from 834N plugged into LAN 1 on the 614) reports no gateway

Have you configured the 614 router correctly? Make sure it is using an IP in the same subnet as the 834N, the 834N should be set as the gateway on the 614. Also make sure the wireless is corectly configured and enabled.
