Hi all, I was wondering if you could offer me some advice on a new router.
I'm currently with BT on their Infinity 2 fibre optic package and using a Home Hub 5.
I've tried to sift through all the information on the 51 page thread, but I still can't figure out whether I require an Openreach modem or not?

The 2 routers I have narrowed my preference to are the following:
ASUS RT-AC68U or the ASUS RT-AC87U

Ideally, I would like one of these just to plug into my Openreach socket like my Home Hub 5 does. Will this be possible?

Many thanks in advance.
:)

Edit: Just read the last few pages of the thread regarding the ASUS RT-AC68U. Can anyone recommend a router to replace my Home Hub 5. I only require it for gaming, downloading and streaming on Netflix etc.

BT HH5 has an integrated VDSL modem.

The two routers you've listed do not have an integrated modem therefore I would recommend the BT Openreach Huawei HG612 revision 3B. I would go with the AC68U (however consider Netgear too) but what wireless clients do you have at home?
