Router syncing very low

My router has suddenly started syncronising at very low speeds, right now its at

Connection Status CONNECTED
Downstream Rate 256 Kbps
Upstream Rate 160 Kbps

Anybody got any idea of why its suddenly done this?

p.s. the Router is an older Asus AAM6000EV

Looking at my line stats from Zen portal seems like its been doing down and down for over a month now.

I had a similar problem with my connection with plusnet, the exchange was congested making the speeds low.

Check the status of the exchange here

Im going to try using my older Usb Modem

p.s. Nildram site says my exchange is un congested.

If you are still getting the very low sync then before you call your ISP try to connect to with all other devices removed and try at least 2 different micro filters just to ruile out a duff filter.

If still getting sub 300K sync then call your ISP and ask them what the Fault Threshold Level is on your line and if it is higher than your sync rates expect them to do some troublehsooting but let me know what you have already done and then I would expect them to run a line (Woosh) test on your line as it looks like a BT fault to me.

What were your sync rates before you started having this issue ?
