Is there any way of monitoring total usage ( upload/download traffic ) going through my router ?

Netgear dg834v3

I.e

Usage totals
Which machines used what.

It is wired to my main PC, but it is also accessed wirelessly from my laptop ( i have WPA-PSK enabled ) , and Wireless access control is enabled to allow only the laptop.

Basically, to see if it's being used by any un-authorised machines, as my latest 'bill' shows a huge leap in usage.

Cheers.

I use analogx Netstat Live on my PC to monitor internet volume usage.

Im not aware of anyway to check the usage on the router but i'ld say install this on the laptop and pc and itll monitor usage over 2month period eg (this month + last month)

http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/Network/nsl/Freeware.htm

Also reset your router and put ina new router password and reset the wepkey just incase.
Also before you reste it check under the attached devices to see if theres more than 2 connections to the router and check the logs on the router to see for any connection attempts from different locations.

One time i check the logs to see about 300 DoS attacks on the router, they have since stopped

Secondary thought, if you use torrent software/P2p make sure you turn it off once youve done with it. If you leave it running and its uploading to other users that could account for insane bandwidth usage
