hey guys if i get a wireless router that means i can use both a laptop on wireless and use the other comp on ethanet cables dont it or does it all have to be wireless?

no you can use both the cabled and the wireless at the same time.

Yeah, my router has wireless and 4 wired ports, most do

Yup. And if you're feeling up to it you can have a wired LAN on the ethernet ports and the laptop on WLAN so you have the best of both worlds

will it like slow my connection down to my room coz am on 2mb i think or it could be more is there a way i can check also is there a way i can slow the connection down to the other 2 comps so i get most of the speed ?

If you get a router which supports QoS, you can set certian things (Gaming, HTTP, P2P etc) to have a higher priority than other things so its divided up that way.

ADSL or Cable? If cable, have a look at the Linksys WRT54GS.

Linksys WRT54GS so is this the best one for me ? i dont rly wonna spend more than £70 on it but needs to have 4 ports and wan must be wireless n alow me to use cables as well and set things on it?

You don't want wireless on the WAN interface - you want it on the LAN interface. Linksys WRT54GS will do the job nicely.

WAN = Wide Area Network, ie, internet side of things
LAN = Local Area Network, ie, your side of things where your PCs connect

Yep, that router will do what you want.
