I've just upgraded from Three wireless broadband to 250MBS Fibre from Voneus (rural area). This came with a Zyxel DX3301-TO router.

Should i stick with this, or swap to the Huawei B535-235 that i was using? The special-trick of the Huawei was its ability to hold an SIM card - unsure whether there are other differences which remain important. Priorities are speed, signal and stability - not too worried about Chinese spy-ware: nothing top secret happening here!

Ideally you should never need a SIM fail over, realistically you shouldn't need one often and you have the ongoing cost of a SIM each month with no benefit. If everything else is equal in terms of functionality vs requirements, then it comes down to personal choice.

Is giffgaff still a thing?
Do they still do free low bandwidth data?
If not, I suggest one shops around.

GiffGaff are still around.

They never offered free data.

You need to purchase either a goodybag or you pay per mb.

payg is not worth it anymore from any provider better of just getting rolling 30 day contract you can pay under £5 per month for 5gb data
