Routers (netgear)

Hi all,

I have a DG834G (Bedroom) router already connected to the internet with wireless enabled for my laptop.

Is it possable (with another netgear router or the same) to bouce the same signal to another router ? so the signal is always max? ( to downstairs)

Something like a wag102 would do it.

A Standard WAP will do, no need for a 2nd router.

WAP's can't repeat the signal though, can they?

Only if both do WDS, or you run a cable from router to WAP.

Well the thing a friend has 2 routers and asked me this (he has Gg83g4 ) Netgear router twice.

1 is already connected to his computer.

couldn't the 2nd be setup as just a WAP? (but then the router would need its own login / net connection?)
