Hi Guys,

I dont post as much as I should I do in this forum, but I lurk a lot in here. I've been in regular weight training for 2 years now, plus another year on top just using resistance machines when I first started.

I've been using the same attendance routine all of that time (though allowing for mixing it up with reps/sets, pyramiding, supersets etc.)

3-4 Days a week in a simple 2 routine split, one day off one day on;
  • Biceps/Back plus Deadlifts. 1.5 hours per session.
  • Triceps/Shoulders/Chest plus Squats (no other leg workouts other than squats alone). 1.5-2.0 hours per session.
I'm ready to try something different, as these workouts really take their toll on me and as they last so long, its often a challenge to make myself go - but I do.

QUESTIONS;

  • If I were to go every weekday and have the weekend off, therefore 5 consecutive days, how would one structure a routine?
  • I'm very pleased with my progress but am anxious by changing my routine to a "little and often" routine as opposed to my hardcore workout it will take a negative effect on my progress so far? Although my routines are hard, I feel its that torture whats making me grow!?
  • I need to add, my current routine doesnt afford any cardio whatsoever, I am carrying a lot of fat if I'm honest :)(). Should I consider 20mins cardio before each daily workout?
