Royal Mail Delays?

Anyone else having major delays on parcels? I'm still waiting on things that had been posted on Nov 28th? Getting a bit anxious now.

Pretty certain the locusts I ordered for my bearded dragon will be dead on arrival too - literally :p

I appreciate a delay for the snow, but it's almost as if they are holding back standard parcels in a depot somewhere and delivering everything else?

I had something shipped on 30th that has not arrived yet and 1 shipped yesterday that arrived this morning :confused:
 
Quite big delays here on some things I've ordered, they're starting to trickle through now.
 
Yeah delays for most things I've personally ordered and even in work, customers not getting things necessarily within 3-5 days.
 
Join the club mate. Been waiting for lots of parcels, packages and post. Considering I live in Gateshead city centre it's pretty weird. Some were sent from Newcastle and still have not arrived after 2 weeks.

I think I can hang on until Christmas tho :) Think I know practically all the customer service staff in the Gateshead sorting office now, so it's not completely terrible. I usually try to collect my mail before it's sent out by Mr.Postie.
 
Citilink are at complete hilarity at the moment also.
Ordered a baby monitor and other assoicated gubbins, should have been delivered prior to the snow, wasn't.
Now on checking their tracking details, it would appear they tried delivery prior to the snow, and have then spent the last 7 days loading a parcel onto the back of a lorry.
Now they've changed the consignment number, and if i follow the site correctly they are returning to sender.

They didn't attempt delivery, no card left, no van arrived the day they claim, and I wondered why it took them 9 days to update a website tracking to claim a delivery was made.
We shall see what they say in response to my query.
I am quite annoyed today, baby due today, washing machine died this morning, iron died last night, and citilink mucking me around. I want to scream but that would simply make things worse.
 
We have around 15 parcels due from the last 2 weeks all xmas pressies and some rather expensive electrical ones :eek:

Our parcels are with all major carriers several with DHL that have been sat in Sheffield for the last week :(

We are starting to get concerned to the point we are not ordering any further items off the net for xmas pressies.

New orders seem to be getting through, it's just the back logged stuff that isn't moving
 
Yes, getting a bit annoying as well.

So a bit random as well, one of those not arrived is my WoW Cataclysm game so i'm getting a bit miffed.
 
Yep, 2 Royal Mail packages that haven't arrived. One should have been here yesterday (and hasn't yet arrived today). The other is 3 days late so far.

Also expecting a City Link delivery today. Judging by the lack of updates on their tracking page (despite the delivery date being today), I'm not getting my hopes up.
 
Glad to hear that other are having troubles too, I ordered something which was apparently dispatched on 28/11 but still no sign. I always suspect my parcels to have been thieved by the local posty so this thread gives me hope that it hasn't!
 
Problem with our area is the side roads are covered in 4-5 inch of Ice and the vans aren’t even attempting them. :(

Hope it all melts soon before the next cold snap.

Ordered something last week and it was shipped last tues and i havent received anything...going to give it till monday then ring up the place i bought the goods from so that they can chase it down....stupid ****ing weather causing all sorts of havoc and this country as per usual cant even function properly.

Oh and where i live theres absolutely FA snow now...its all melted :/
