It's clear that although engines are built to high standards and specs, one will always vary from another maybe due to the way it was run in, the quality of fuel and maybe the fact it's coming up to its service interval. That said, a 100bhp loss in the real world compared to a bench tested manufacturer statistic is pretty drastic. 30-40bhp you could live with but I'd be gitted to be 100bhp down!
