RS4 Sold!

So any thoughts on what you are going to get next?

Are you still doing moon miles? There are some good C63 Contract Hire deals at the moment.

I saw this over on PH, I think its in reference to a 640d or a 530GT

A friend just picked a new silver M Sport version (??) usual 'extras' including media, sunroof, electric tailgate operation at £503/month personal lease for 30,000 miles per year!!

48 month deal, £7500 down payment. Still about a dozen more only in the country at that rate!

It may work out well if your doing silly miles?

Just had a look on the BMW website:

530d M Sport GT
£499 a month, £5.2k deposit, 48 month contract.

There must be a catch!
I guess it isn't the best looking BMW but still.

Edit: Oh yes forgot you're allowed 40k mileage per year.

I'm not going to get a super saloon I don't think, though most of the night I've been looking at M3's so no idea if i'll hold out. I think £15K budget for a daily makes sense, I quite like the idea of a Golf GTi, liked the one we had a lot and I'd be happy to plod around it one and then look at a Sunday car. I am deffo going 2 cars this time around and I shall start with the daily. I don't do mega miles anymore but still probably 16K-18K per year.

Golf gti seems a strange choice considering your previous cars.

Not strange, just different. I used to have just 1 car so sought a jack of all trades. I'm now considering 2 cars, so something fun and good on a long run that isn't going to **** cash and a Sunday car I dont use much that isn't going to **** cash.

Different times demand different approaches.

Could save some money for the Porka fund (sorry, Sunday car fund) by getting an Octavia over a Golf. It's like a Golf, but not a Golf.

Very true, nothing is off the table right now, getting out of the RS4 made sense as it was clouding the purchasing issue. I can now deal on any car I want without spending 48 hours under interrogation and getting stupid offers 'cuz no one wants em mate'

Going through a very similar thing with my M3 at the moment. Looks like a Mini/Golf for the missus and an E60 530/5d for me to tow the weekend toy with. I'm coming to terms with getting old.
