Hi

Well, it feels like i'm getting slight pain in my mouse fingers, so want avoid any problems early on. Just wondering if there are any mouses that would help, preferably ones that are very sensitive to clicking so you dont have to apply much pressure etc.

You could try a trackball as those are supposed to be easier to use particularly if you have limited dexterity, I think you normally click with your thumb and middle/ring fingers.

Logitech MX510/1000/G5/G7 should be quite good.

Most mice are the same, the simple solution is to either take breaks or get a trackball to prevent it in the first place.

Trackballs don't help though as you still have to click with your fingers in an identical fashion to mouses (or is it mice?). The only difference is that your thumb is used to move the cursor on the screen.

probably stating the obvious, but your seating posture will be MUCH more important than the actual mouse you're using. Make sure your desk is at elbow-height so when you're using the mouse you don't have to bend your wrist or flex your shoulder too much. You could also use one of those cushioned wrist-straps, or a mousepad with a wrist-pad, though you need to be careful not to develop the bad habit of leaning on the wrist pad when you're moving the mouse: only when you're just resting your hand there.

(Be that as it may, I find the MS mice incredibly uncomfortable after protracted use, as I'm unconsciously straining my wrist sideways to stop myself from accidentally pushing those &*%$ing thumb buttons!)
