There are people who don't know what RSS is? Get wiki-educated on it!

I've been using RSS for a couple of years now; mainly use it to keep track of blogs (lots of blogs, lots and lots of blogs) and social sites like Digg. I use the Sage extension for Firefox as my reader and check it about once a day :)

Ok i've just subscribed to bbc news and sport...but i'm really struggling to understand how it's useful? :(

Use firefox, add it as a live bookmark thing and when you connect it loads all headlines quickly and you just click the down arrow under BBC Sport etc to see the latest headlines at a glance, then click the ones you want to see.

Not a fan of proper readers, but I love the live ones in FF.

eg: DONT READ TEXT ON THE DROP DOWN IF YOU DONT WANT FOOTBALL SPOILERS!!!

Just BBC News.

What reader are you using sic? I want one for my shows with the blue icon that has an orange T in it ;)

i'm using netnewswire. it's $19.99 shareware...but i've got 30 days to buy it. probably will, it's only a tenner!! ;) tis really gooood.

i subscribe to loads, mostly news based ones and it is amazing for me to have breaking news brought to my desktop instead of having to go and look for it - i need to be on top of the news for my job and RSS has been a revelation to me. Also subscribe to a couple of blogs too, and shall be pinching some stuff from Sic's list :D

Why not use Mozilla Thunderbird? Its free.. or just add RSS bookmarks to Firefox. Put them on your toolbar's BM collection and then they're there at the drop of a menubox right alongside your browsing.

Netnewswire is a lot better than the built-in Thunderbird/Firefox RSS aggregators.
If I were allowed to make sweeping statements I'd say it's the best RSS reader out there ;)
