Does anyone remember the Blue Blob Army? the rtcw.co.uk forum "clan"..

I was at one time with the BBA, but when Vegas, BlackLotus and the other rtcw forum regs started to move on, peeps started to drop the blue blob. It was around about the time Jolt took over the rtcw.co.uk forum :'(

Oh nice, some old names there.. Blacklotus and Vegas were awesome!!
I played on a few BBA nights, mainly consisting of building player-towers on Assault.
Just had a look in my Games Files folder and found several gig of demos and vids, might have to install that demo player (seismovision?) and have a laugh some night. Will put XP on a spare partition and try that.
Found this too, personally my finest moment in RTCW.
[ACF] vs 4Kings, UBER1337 semi-final, July 2003.
Round 1, we planted pretty quick and I managed to kill/gib the 4K engi as he was diffusing by bouncing a sneaky nade through the side window.

I stopped playing this when I couldn't get gamma settings to work anymore, still can't (worked back in the day when I was using WinME at the time, never worked again after switching to XP... and doesn't work on Vista either). Basically, no matter what you set gamma to in-game (either using the slider or r_gamma), there is no change at all - the image stays dark.
You can use r_ignorehwgamma to fix it, and then you can set gamma just fine, however I can't play online using this (punkbuster kicks you for using it, as it's a disallowed setting). So, I gave up, and spent my time playing Wolf:ET instead (where it works without issue!).

Had a couple of hours on CoD4 last, then felt the urge for some RTCW action. Surprisingly there was some peeps on Pappa's Tram, had a few hours on there, was a good crack, some of you old skoolers will have to joinup some time

You could probably get enough players if u asked here http://www.tram.seatanhosting.co.uk/ or even if u want a quick game one night, players on there from 10pm onwards (random nights though) i just had a quick hour on mp_tram, still a great game.

RTCW is still my No.1 all time greatest games, with a very close 2nd place HL. and yes it does work on vista X62 as I got a bit bored one day.
RTCW was one of a the last generation of games that felt like a game and not like the interactive movies which games seem to be today. It's dark atosphere and sinister plot made this game work. Love it still

Long time no speak, Sac. I speak to Hazz once in long while over MSN. Last I heard, he was playing Quake Wars.
Do you remember Hercules? If so, how's he doing?
I tried RTCW on Vista 64 earlier this year; I got it working fine. The only other thing I can think of, which you may not have tried, is to download the 1.41b patch (which is just a replacement .exe file). Hopefully it'll work then.
If the OP still cares, I had some trouble with the SP in Vista 64 (finally finished it last weekend, after 7 years). Sometimes the game would crash when it was loading the next level. I just ran the Safe Mode version until the level loaded, and so it autosaved.

Anyone remember the Cunny vs WingNut(?) game?
WingNut consisted of various people from rtcw.co.uk forum pretending to be a real clan so Cunny would play them and get raped. Can't remember the exact lineup, think maybe Cage/Vegas/BL etc...
