RTS - Suggestions

So I love starcraft2 and all its expansions however is there any current world ones that aren't sci fi or far into the future? If anything more like generals so basic tanks etc. I know the genre itself isn't exactly popular anymore but I do fancy a more military based one

Steel Division Normandy 44, technically not released yet and not quite modern tanks (out later in May) but if you pre purchase you get access to the beta which is available now. The developers previously released 'Wargame' which is supposedly good but flawed and on which the new game improves on.

It's really good, no base building but a fantastic military rts.

coh 1 and 2 coh 1 is the better game multiplayers still active.

Ashes of the Singularity or Supreme Commander are good and well liked. Ashes of the Singularity seems to require a pretty decent computer though.

also StarCraft has just been release for free from Blizzard with new patch to help run on modern systems.
