I posted this on the RTW2 support forums yesterday

http://forums.totalwar.com/showthread.php/120975-What-is-the-latest-on-multi-GPU-support.?

And got absolutely zero replies

How in this day and age can a modern game like RTW2 which is very demanding on GPUs not have decent CF or SLI support on todays GPUs.

And what is just as bad is getting no info whatsoever from the official support forums.

If the Romans had invented PCs, I hate to think what they would do to the game devs if they got rubbish support.

Yer, but apart from PC's, what have the Roman's ever done for us? :D

Joking aside, wouldn't it be down to nVidia/AMD to sort out profiles for this?

Edit:

Just looked on the nVidia forums and ManuelG said they are still waiting on changes from the game developers before enabling SLI.

We will have to send the Praetorian Guard round to AMD and NVidia.

Unfortunately they may be out of their depth as both AMD and NVidia know more about backstabbing than the Praetorian Guard.:D

I made an edit Kaap but yer, a demanding game like that and no option to SLI/CF because of the game devs is pretty shocking in this day and age.

I think both NVidia and AMD are both really full of it when they talk about 4K gaming, when they can not even get RTW2 to run at 1600p maxed.

AMD implemented crossfire in Rome Total War 2 a while back. But due to the game engine scaling is poor, about 20% or so.

Unfortunately the scaling stops at two cards in CF, last time I tried I managed about 48fps maxed @1600p

Yeah doesn't surprise me. I guess 20% is better than nothing though.

You could try creating your own crossfire profile. Can be fun sometimes. :p

Not surprised after the game's horrendous launch. I've not played it since the first few days as it was so bad.

I've stayed away from this till now for reasons such as this. These games have a poor track record for this. Surely at max setting 1440p+ performance is going to be fairly grim without multi gpu support?
