RTX 3070 VS RTX 3060 Ti vs Nvidia Titan Xp vs GTX 1080 vs RTX 2080 tI

I have the weird 3070 Ti which is worse value than both those cards but i just feel lucky to have a FE these days. All the FE cards are way better value than what many are buying

In a normal world the 3070 Ti wouldn't be worth it however we're not in 'normal situations'and I'd rather be paying £529 for a 3070 Ti than £700 for an AIB 3060 Ti/3070.. :)

Thanks for this. Was interesting

Both the 3060ti and 3070 are decent value in terms of what is out there. The 3070 seems to be 15-20% faster, for 27% more money, which isn't amazing, but not too bad as gpus go. As you say that extra oomph it has can make the difference between a constant 60 and unwanted dips.

The 3070 seems a very solid 1440p card. If I had a 4k set up I'd be tempted to get the 3080, especially for a bit of future proofing.

The worst card in the line up is the 3070ti I think. Barely much faster than the 3070 (most reviews seem to have it only about 6/7% faster on average). It is only 60 quid more BUT it takes 30% more power and thus runs hotter. Its just simply not worth it and I'd prefer to have the cooler, cheaper and more efficient 3070. Would have been better priced at £550 and to have been a cut down 3080. That would have placed it more in between the two models performance wise, instead of just barely faster than the 3070.

Mind you , you just have to get what you can get at a good price these days!

The worst card in the line up is the 3070ti I think. Barely much faster than the 3070 (most reviews seem to have it only about 6/7% faster on average). It is only 60 quid more BUT it takes almost 50% more power and thus runs hotter. Its just simply not worth it and I'd prefer to have the cooler, cheaper and more efficient 3070. Would have been better priced at £550 and to have been a cut down 3080. That would have placed it more in between the two models performance wise, instead of just barely faster than the 3070.

220w to 290w - 31.8% percentage increase

its still really bad but its not 50% bad

You are right. I did genuinely mean to write 40% as a few reviews showed their measurements to be near that, but likely varies from card to card. Will edit post.

You're welcome! Glad you found it interesting! :) I've been playing Days gone today 4k maxed out and it didn't dip below 60fps something the Titan Xp and 3060 Ti couldn't do.. for me it's a much better experience!

Hi all, so since just buying a 2080 Ti I thought sod it lets run it through it's paces whilst throwing my GTX 1080 in there also for good measure! :D

Here's a recap of my previous results with the addition of the 1080 and 2080 Ti :D there were some games I couldn't run due to them needing a big update!

It's not a clear win for the 2080 Ti vs the 3070 losing to 1 BLO3 only by a few FPS mind you.. though overall at 4k all my games maxed out I do notice the 2080 Ti being the faster card in addition to it's 11GB Vram vs the 8 being beneficial though this also shows if you could/can get a 3070 at £469 especially at it's release, it was fantastic card for its price!
