going by hardware unboxed which had 4070s 105fps av vs 94 fps against a 3080 10gb (12 game av) so 4070s 11.4% faster...at 4k 4070s was 58fps vs 55fps for 3080 so 5% so as lower fps anyway, call it margin of error as only 3 fps in it...
3080ti against the 3080 I believe it ran about 10/12% faster than the 3080.. ( it also has more cuda core than the 3080 )...ao you're prob talking similar 1440p performance and 3080ti be ahead at 4k as has bigger memory bus, which hinders the 4070s
now 3080ti also has same vram as the 4070s so you couldn't go down that route for an upgrade either....f
or anything meaningful, I think you'll be looking at the 4080super or 4090 tbh....the 3080ti wasn't exactly cheap when it launched(during crypto boom so was over £1k itself, so if you going to drop a lot on an upgrade, guess it'll have to be a lot for the new card also
