The only thing going for that RTX4070 over the 3070ti is dlss 3 frame generation and lower power requirements. Not worth the extra large sums of money for the new RTX 4000`s better to wait for the refresh.

keep it the RTX 5000 series will be the way to go. that 3070ti will see you good until then.
It has been boxed up, seal is still intact.
I got it for £1359 the Lenevo pro has everything I would need. However, I thought I’d get it and see if I could find a similar 4070 version.
I purchased it because of the thunderbolt connection.
I was gutted, I paused when I saw the i7 pro with 3080 for £1449. I hesitated for a few days, I then went to purchase it and it was out of stock. otherwise that would have been a great purchase.

I'm pretty happy with the 3070 laptop GPU myself - plays Hogwarts Legacy at a fairly consistent 60+FPS with High settings, no RT (it is broken in the game anyhow) at 1440p with DLSS quality - some stutter in transitional areas but everyone gets that. With it on a stand for improved ventilation it is mostly sustaining 1920MHz with some fluctuation to 18XXMHz which is fairly decent as well.

Depends on the power level (wattage) and CPU - some 3070tis on 12th gen CPUs can be the same or slower than 3070 on 10th or 11th gen, in other cases 8-10% faster. Also some lower power 3070s (80 watt IIRC) which are loads slower.

Assuming max power variants of both the difference is in the 10-15% ballpark with some outliers. Main factor is ensuring it has the full TGP (125-140 for 3070 and ~135-150 for 3070Ti) and the comparison isn't between some neutered 80w variant of either. As an example of this latter point my wife has a Zephyrus G15 with a 100-120w 3080 in it. Meanwhile I have a Legion 7 with the full power (150-165w) 3080 in it. Despite identical core config (albeit slower memory on the G15) the performance difference in CyperPunk 2077 is to the tune of 25% in favour of the Legion.
Also to factor in is how good the power delivery and cooling are on each laptop. The 3080 in my Legion for example gets to the low 70's and then just sits there regardless of how long I play a game. My wife's G15 however will essentially hit the thermal limit of the GPU (and be @15c hotter on the CPU) due to a weaker cooling setup (heatpipes vs massive vapour chamber). This is of course understandable given the G15 is also smaller, thinner and ~25% lighter than the Legion.

wait for Easter holidays Lenevo like to do a few deals around then also later in the year you will see more price drops, they will be looking to shift old stock.
Ok great, I'll stick some alerts on deals websites and hope for the best. My current laptop is 17.3", I assume the 16" is one to go for.
The model I have it is out of stock, in quite a few places, I don't think we will see more. I have the pro 3070ti.
