RTX Supers

I have the Aorus GTX1080Ti. It seems to just about do 2000mhz on the core but no higher.

The Aorus Xtreme with F4 bios has factory overclock 2050, and operating 2000Mhz is fine. Those review you are seeing, are using the 1080Ti FE operating at 1683-1700 clocks due to the overheating 84C of the blower cooler.

I don't have the "xtreme" version. And I tried different bioses, mine does 2012 max.

Ok you are find. Those benchmarks using the 1080Ti FE are operating 300-350mhz lower than you do.

I'm just trying to find excuses for a shiny new computer toy that is justifiable in expense. Guess a 2070S isn't it. Might have to look for a 2080S when it's on sale or something maybe 550.

But then we'll all be getting excited about the impending release of the 3000 series and big Navi - and won't want to invest so late in its life cycle :p

I can't really recall Nvidia or their AIBs shifting price that much during their lifecycle - only times really being due to new launches or big changes by their competitors.
