Rubbing noise + vibration with gentle steering at slow speed. Any ideas?

Low daily miles and then trips, meets and fun drives out etc.

Something just didn't feel right to me about the ceramics unless you are doing hard braking where they were excellent, they were really annoying when you just wanted to slow down a bit or in traffic with the auto box how you just let on and off the brakes a bit to move forwards it must have looked like I couldn't drive! The pedal felt a bit like an on/off switch.

I guess I could get used to it and that is probably what is needed.

No way am I going to buy a Ferrari for Norfolk and nothing local to test drive :p
I will be back in Florida later this year so I will just have to come and drive yours :D
 
You're more than welcome to when you're over here next. Assuming of course it ever leaves the dealer....

Ceramics can be a little on off sometimes but it varies between manufacturer. I've not driven the Audi ones but have driven the various iterations of the Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren ones and they all perform in different ways.

You will get used to it but I don't know what the costs are on the Audi for replacement pads/rotors. For Ferrari, each wheel is $1k for pads and $10k for the disc :o, thankfully they last forever but I'd still hate to chip one accidentally.

No idea about replacement costs, they are a 7 or 8k option on the normal car and standard on the Plus, I think they would almost last the life of the car unless you tracked it.

I forgot about the no brake dust thing though and also they are obviously much lighter than steel which must have contributed to the excellent steering on the Plus.

Hmm almost talked myself into it now.
