***Rugby Super League XXVI (other RL chat welcome!)***

Anybody selected to go to any games next week?

Nothing planned yet. I'd love to get over to France and watch a match at Stade Brutus sometime before the heat death of the universe, but that's gonna require Johnson's government making good decisions rather more consistently for a bit...

Meanwhile in the Championship it's another week, another Toulouse romp. 0-50 at Whitehaven with 15 mins to go. Certainly was the right call not promoting them to Super League, eh?

***edit***

0-66 FT. Fair old stomping.

Hull v Dracs highlights:

That's a few matches so far this season where we've ramped up the scoring near the end. And yet Sky commentary still chats **** about us not being an eighty minute side...

*shrug*

Joe Bullock moving to Warrington from Wigan next season. We thought he would be the answer to the 'Prop Problem' (even has its own thread on the Wigan boards), but it hasn't worked out. I'm sure there's a 100m+/20 tackle prop in there somewhere (he certainly has the size), but Wigan haven't been able to find it. A change is probably the best thing for him. Harrison from Fev looks a shrewd siging for Warrington. Wigan lose a prop and then one of the prospective replacements gets snapped up.

George Burgess is in rehab after his hip operation. Regular photos show him rehabing (if that's even a word) at Wigan in Wigan training gear. Stranger things have happened

Wigan can't afford to not take George Williams back. They really need a prop, but there would be mayhem if he ends up at Warrington or Leeds

Don't fancy Wigan's chances this weekend. In a bit of a false position. Grinding out 2-4 point wins against teams isn't the free-flowing, expansive rugby we though we were going to get with Adrian Lam. Still, could be grinding out 2-4 point defeats I suppose

Well, we'll see. You have a pretty decent record against us after all, including on French soil.

Alrix Da Costa out for four weeks (medial ligament) and Fouad Yaha also missing the Wigan game (rib). Sam Tomkins and Samisoni Langi named in the squad but doubts over fitness linger. We've called up César Rougé from the yoofs just in case.

So @TonyM19...Wigan, eh? Did they actually show up to Brutus?

;)

:p

They didn't actally play any worse than they have been doing, it's just the first time they've come up against a good side with a big pack. Catalan were pretty good though. Wigan's defensive doggedness means they don't get many ar*e kickings like that.

It's all a bit down amongst Wigan fans atm. They look like the missed out on Williams. To be fair, they don't really need a half back, but he is one that is too good to miss. They just seem to be losing players and not really replacing them with any quality. They have been unluicky with injuries on their big money signings (Burgess, Field and now French). A big prop and a decent centre next year please
