Hey up, I'm just getting the bits ready for the 285mm brake conversion on the clio, but thinking ahead I know there is a knackered torx bolt on one of the discs! The head is totally ruined so i'm wondering which is the best way to sort this out or i'm not going to get very far am I :p

I bought a screw extractor today but I was thinking it may be a bit hard to drill in the centre of what's already a small bolt! So is there anotherway around this?

Thanks.

If it's not a recessed bolt, can you grind the head off the bolt, take the part off that it's holding, then grasp the remaining shaft of the bolt with a pair of mole grips?

And if it's a recessed bolt, drill the head off it so that only the shaft of the bolt is remaining, take the part it's holding off.....

Impact driver!!

Have them on my 306 too. I got it out easy with an impact driver and philips head adapter. Just keep hitting it and it will free up :D
