The point is guys, the "rainforest" also sell components which is our main business. We don't want our own forums paid for by the owner to be used to discuss competition.

But it's linked to/discussed and mentioned in various locations across MANY sections of the forums. Is it against the rules, or not? If it is, why do these threads exist?

So why not ban all talk of all competitors? Dell, Apple, Acer, Asus, Samsung and so on? Why is the Amazon Kindle thread allowed? The competitor rule clearly doesn't work.

But why the backpedalling on the rule? And what about the other instances of said competitor? Why can't we say it here, and get banned/suspended for it, but people can freely discuss and link it elsewhere?

The DD service isn't competition so that should be fine to post, but it isn't.
