But it's linked to/discussed and mentioned in various locations across MANY sections of the forums. Is it against the rules, or not? If it is, why do these threads exist?

Lol mods are going to be busy, a cursory search within the two games forums reveals around 500 direct mentions of 'the store who shall not (now {as of today [meaning 21st July] } ) be named'

So why not ban all talk of all competitors? Dell, Apple, Acer, Asus, Samsung and so on? Why is the Amazon Kindle thread allowed? The competitor rule clearly doesn't work.

But why the backpedalling on the rule? And what about the other instances of said competitor? Why can't we say it here, and get banned/suspended for it, but people can freely discuss and link it elsewhere?

The DD service isn't competition so that should be fine to post, but it isn't.

Probably because people were e-mailed by Valkia and they're trying to keep that quiet.

For good reason considering what came to light in it. Completely agree with that moderating. The issue needs to go higher, not be gossiped about on the forum.
