Rumored release dates of new amd gpus

Same :(

Current strong rumours are Q3/Q4 release of a very powerful 20nm part codenamed Hawaii. Initial specs suggest it could be a huge boost over the current 7900 series.

Rumours are just that though.
 
They are a bit more than just a rebadge - but not significantly changed from the 600/titan series either, wasn't really expected to be any different really as maxwell is the next proper generation.
 
Has there been any word of AMD lowering prices on the Tahiti range of cards when the Nvidia 7xx range is out?

A bit more maybe, there will be some performance gains, but it's basically a refresh/rebadged.
 
they'll probably be about 10 percent performance increase as always

just look at how cpus and gpus come in they dont jump massive increase in such short times.

what people also need to remember is the games are just as important as the cards. if the big games pushing hard on your pcs to make you buy a gpu then what point is there?

bf4 is just re badged bf3 so performance will be about the same and there is cod

thats it this year !

Theres a few hardware bug fixes/refinements they aren't simply GK104 cores, etc. just renamed even tho in terms of specification and performance per clock they are more or less identical. Its pretty much par for the course for a refresh.

If you need a card right now, then buy something now, don't wait around.

Otherwise, if you're fine with what you have take a look at the new NV cards, compare them with what's already out from NV and AMD and see what works best for you.

The new AMDs that are rumored to be coming this Autumn/Winter will be new tech. For new NV you'll be waiting until 2014.

If you can wait for new tech, I'd suggest waiting.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. See what the prices of the 7 series actually is and decide what is best for your needs. 7950 is a good card for 1080P and can cope in more or less every game at full settings :)
