Rumour: BBC looking to end it's F1 coverage deal early

Channel 5 could go for it and probably afford it, if they negotiated the price down a little. After all, 5 is part owned by RTL.

Remember that coverage used to be on Eurosport many years ago. I remember watching the friday practice sessions etc.. I used to switch to BBC though because of all the ads.

Anyway. The bbc couldn't drop it if they wanted to. They are contracted to 2014.

They didn't do a bad job with their coverage of A1GP, it was just a bit dull and lifeless with Georgie Thompson (who knows as much about motorsport as my toaster) presenting. Ben Edwards and John Watson were good commentators though.

Georgie Thompson annoyed me. Only spoke out of one side of her mouth like she'd had a stroke - and her hair and skin were the same colour...

Ben and John were good though. Especially when John got into the car for the track guides. :D
 
If it wasn't for the freeze on the tv license (which I find completely rediculus anyway, as it's basically a tax to watch tv and gives the BBC a license to print money) they would be raising it yet again

Lol imagine being told that you need a license to watch tv ? Oh that's right .... Doh !
