Er, no it didnt, it came out on the Dreamcast first, with a port to the xbox long after. If they released Yakuza 3 on the PS3 and it was the second best selling game of 2009 in Japan, Sega are hardly going to make it an xbox exclusive.

Which is a shame because I really liked the first 2!
But it could well be an exclusive. All it would take is Sony/Microsoft bribing Sega with an enormous wad of cash.
How popular were these games actually though? I seem to remember that financially they were a huge flop, considering how much they cost to make. Although the scope was unheard of back then, should be a lot more affordable to produce now.

I really doubt a shenmue 3 will ever be made. Shenmue pretty much put sega out of business because they so no return on it. Why would they "as a business" make that mistake again? Unless Shenmue 3 had 3rd person over the shoulder cover mechanics with rechargeable health gameplay.

The Shenmue franchise cost Sega around $70 million, which truely was massive and record breaking back then.
