Whenever my computer boots up the run & shutdown buttons are gone, and I cannot access my task manager. They are presumably "blocked by my administrator".

On start up Mcafee finds "Adware-Virtumundo" some reason it just can not remove it saying its not virus or trojan. Other thing is i get ie poping up with http://url.cpvfeed.com and my ip address the website ive been to. Ive done about 10 or so scans now, odd one removes few things but just not the main thing listed above.

IF anyone has an idea how can remove this or any tips would be great.

thanks for the help.

you'll probably need to boot into safe mode, try disablin the windows system restore that should help in the long run.

try and down load CLAMAV Portable : link

try running it in safe mode.

in safe mode, go to start run and type MSCONFIG
Select the Startup Tab and disable the entrys your not sure they are.

adaware, spybot search n destroy would be worth a go to run also.

if you can access the CMD window you can type the command regedit and that might bring up the registry editing window.

You could also try a symptomatic approach and go into the local security policy editor and enable the said features.
