Stranded in this untamed land, you must gather resources, build shelters, and craft weapons to withstand the growing dragon threat. Only by mastering survival and unlocking ancient secrets can you hope to slay the Dragon Queen and reclaim Ashenfall - alone or with up to 3 friends.

This all-new adventure blends High Fantasy, light RPG elements, and iconic RuneScape lore in a never-before-seen continent. Venture into a land hidden since time immemorial, uncover secrets, and battle legendary RuneScape creatures alongside entirely new foes like the fearsome Garou. Prepare to face a world filled with mystery, danger, and unforgettable encounters.
A very out of the blue release into Early Access. It's another addition to the bloated genre that is co-op, open world, survival RPGs, and its created & published by, unsurprisingly, Jagex. The theming, lore, fantasy level and overall vibe very clearly points it towards Runescape, but it's not attached to the MMO at all and is set in an entirely different location. Jagex have a history of all their games bar the MMO Runescape being big flops, so let's see if this can break that trend in a sea of survival RPGs.

I've played a lot of the MMO in my days, but haven't had a chance to pick this up (nor will I any time soon given its price for a very early access title - £25), has anybody here played it?

Im definitely going to follow this as it looks quite rich if it builds on some of the concepts they used in the early days. A bit steep for an early access punt though with minimal reviews.

It's very early access for sure, neither ranged nor magic skill being in the game is quite something.

My thoughts exactly on this at the moment - can't quite bring myself to pull the trigger on a game that isn't even pretending to be ready!

Just by way of an update on this - despite my post above I decided to give it a go and I have to say I'm liking it!

Very much a work in progress don't get me wrong but I'm liking the pacing and progression so far!

I have been gifted it. It's really good! There's just not a fat lot of it right now.

Having a static world rather than a random/seeded one is certainly a bold choice for a survivalcraft game. It's definitely got its advantages, but games of this genre are typically replayed again and again... but I can't see that happening with this one.

I have to say I'm loving it - the pacing of the base building and crafting progression seems just about right!

My one gripe is that the random attacks by mobs and dragon attacks always seem to happen at just the wrong time and I end up being killed!

I'm tempted to grab this. Definitely my sort of game.
But not sure a if I should buy it now, or be patient and wait for some more content patches.
