Runescape, yes Runescape

Still maintain it's the best game i've ever played.

Not sure when i stopped playing regularly, some time in '09 i think. Sold my account for ~£200 to an online friend at the time, paid for leeds fest :D. Probably could have gotten a lot more but account/gold selling was so much hassle then. Found out he stopped playing it in favour of another better account like 6 months later so i recovered it and started playing again :o Wasn't really the same though so stopped playing again some time later after staking most of my bank and eventually losing it all :D

Thinking back the adrenalin rush from staking mere pixels, jesus...

Still got my account. 2k+ total level. Probs log in once every few months.

I stopped playing because it got stupid with people who were lucky enough to be around when phats were dropped and can now pretty much buy any skill to 99. Whereas the rest of us had to work for it all.
 
Iv started staking too. Its a love hate relationship...made 2.4b in a couple of days from 700m few days later lost it. back to 700m. Next time ill be more careful Just need a week or 2 break from it haha.

What drags me back to runescape was unfinished goals to some extent but mostly friends. Some of these guys iv known for 5-8 years... thats longer than most of my IRL friends haha! I have to admit im starting to get a little bored of the game. Thinking of just staking up a huge bank. Getting the rest of the 99s (except RC, that can SMD) and then just high level waring casually. GW2 will be out soon and that will change my focus dramatically lol. I usually come back to RS between other games.


I want them to release all 120s so i can gain a combat level or slayer level again. You would be surprised how much you can come to miss those once you 99 them :'(

Yeah i think i'd start playing again if they boosted combat past 138.
 
Unfortunately by the time they do my combat skills will have lvl120 equivalent exp (104m) so it will be a single jump. Still i wont manage 104m slayer in that time so that will be fun haha.

Made just over £2k from selling GP in 2008, paid for my driving lessons and first car :D and that really is small fry in comparison to some of the people I knew.

Would love to go back and experience this game for the first time again, it really was great game in it's earlier years - Merchanting tree seeds and unids, any old skoolers remember that? :p

Can you still sell accounts and things for a lot? I have an account from years ago I think I spent a bit of time on.
 
over 7 million bot accounts were deleted. A lot of the hyper rich gold sellers who gained their gold from dice hosting (gambling) Staking and botting had their banks rolled back. This is where all item amounts in your bank are reduced to 1. So those 20+ of each rare item you had. are now 1 of each. Trillions and trillions was removed from the game. Even so the market is still hyper inflated. But the reduction of bots means old skilling areas are now open and free for legit players to use. And the prices of raw materials (logs, ores, runes etc) are rising making them a good source of money for low levels and skillers where as before it was PVM or merching/staking and no other real way to make efficient money.

The price will be determined by the skill levels and what items/GP you have in your bank - without anything of real value in your bank you can still sell for ~£100 or so for half decent one.

Back when I was about 14 and playing this I made a nice fortune gathering flax and making Yew bows, I think that's what they were anyway. Easily made 20K an hour and at that stage I think my characters overall level was about 55-60. Wasn't a lot to what some were making, but it didn't take long to be able to buy nice things.

I was a paying member for quite a few months before I started getting bored of doing the same things over and over, my friends all slowly stopped playing it as well before I eventually called it a day at level 75 overall and gave everything to the last person I knew who still played it. Still got the account, but there's nothing of value in it's inventory now.
 
My level 137 got hacked recently, wasn't too bothered though, logged in once a full moon so meh. Oh and anyone thinking they'll get a lot for their accounts now you've been mislead, accounts go for very cheap now on Sythe etc.

Yeah people seem to level up multiple accounts nowadays (high mage/low def, high def/high range) pures etc and then sell them on
 
Its very easy to max out thats why. The value now is in gold/rares. Zukes is your RSN Zukes? If so add me (Bum Hanky) dont ask. I can help out with a few mill but thats it. + a friend to chat with when im on.

This was meant to be me haha. On my friends PC and accidentally posted as him. Anyway yeah my RSN is Bum Hanky. I keep my private chat on private mostly But if i add you as well you should see me on usually most days for a bit.
