Runescape, yes Runescape

Does the game still take all but your best 3 items from you when you die? Thats what I really hated about this game. Much prefer the WoW way of doing with, with item durability and taking extra damage when you die.

Similar to that, but when you die you get a screen pop-up and you can choose what other items you keep

And if you DC and die and dont manage to choose. It will pick the 3 most valuable items based on their grand exchange value.

Meaning a torag platebody will NOT protect over a party hat. As it would have in the old day.

Did anyone ever buy a cannon for about 500k? Most useless thing I ever spent money on and the cannon balls were so hard to get hold of in any real quantity.

Yeah I had a couple of cannons at one point I think. Cannon balls were easy enough to make, and the think was amazing at training range quickly if I remember correctly

I have a fair amount of stuff Zukes from when I used to play, majority of it member items though, as I'm not a member will I be able to trade them to you?

I never thought to use one on the range. Making 1k+ cannon balls was too much effort. I had a few friends make them for me and I paid them haha.

Good for slayer tasks, dagganoths, kalaphites, banshees, black demons. Take a cannon. Set it up fight with it there. Task done in NO time. 250 dagganoth task takes me under 12mins average.

Yeah the draggonaths under the lighthouse are pretty good for ranged/constitution exp. But it's an expensive and less efficient way of leveling ranged compared to Red Chins

I dont suggest camping there. I suggest SLAYER to train ALL forms of combat. Dont be the idiot who gets maxed combat with 60 slayer.
then get 99 slayer and more than double all your combat exps as i did. One day you will want high slayer. Might as well do it sooner than later. It will make you good money eventually. Its a tiny bit slower exp per hour. But WELL worth it in the long run. Trust me on that :)

What can be gained from high slayer exactly?

Access to high slayer monsters, prestige for one of the hardest 99s, coolest 99 cape, a chance of scenery every task, a good knowledge of how to kill a very wide range of creatures, profit from drops on the road to 99, access to the vine whip, future high level slayer content. If you're doing combat you might as well do slayer, it is just combat. There is NO reason at all not to.

But pest control is so much le faster :(

Only benefit I can see is the vine whip really... It makes sense to do slayer tasks in order to level combat stats though. If eventually you want 99 everything

I started playing Runescape approximately 5 years ago.
I've always intended on creating a good all-rounder, however my main focus was making as much money as possible through merchanting as a non-member.
I managed to obtain my first Santa Hat for about 4 million.
I merchanted my way to my first Party Hat, which I lost shortly thereafter. I paid dearly for trusting someone at the time - a mistake I will cerainly not make twice.
I promptly quit following the loss of my fortune, but returned for a short spell during the dungeoneering update, then quit again having lost all incentive.

I returned later following the removal of the trade limit.
My current aim is to concentrate on the statistical side of things, and make some money in the process.

Edit: I've not had the luxury of donations. I've had to strive for the mere 6M that I have presently. I suggest the OP does the same.
