Runescape

Its a rpg, free to play as far as i remember, im surprised its still going cos it was all the rage years and years ago but i thought it would die off cos i thought it was crap lol.
 
My brother's brother in law plays it. It stopped him from doing homework, it's very addictive and further more he stole his mum's credit card to pay for advanced features.
Blame it on the game, or the parenting. However, from what i've seen, it's not worth it.

I havnt been on it since iwas like 12 maybe? So 3 years, ill try and figure out my log in details and give you my stuff.

Not all if it though, its very tempting to jump on it when im EXTREMELY bored!! Besides hell need to get some levels up to use most of it.

From what i can remember, getting your woodcutting and mining level are the best thing to do, quite labourous, but once you get to high levels people will pay lots for the top ores.

I use to play it couple years back, but grew out of it :) I was addicted, constantly playing. It's just like WoW but in a web browser.
I'd advise you to talk to your son about this game and remove it or something, as Ricochet J said it is very addictive.

Since he just started playing it I'd advise you to take him off it before he becomes addicted, it can really affect one's routines and life.
 
Started at the ages of 12, 1 hour a night......15 I was on it for about 5 hours a night. Very addictive and good fun. Don't ban him from it, just restrict his time on it, as it's a very good game for free.

Get WoW, simmilar style game, plus much better graphics and gameplay

You can't 'give stuff away' anymore as there was a feature added to stop gold sellers, it was a damn good one too. :)
 
I can remember giving all my rune armor(I think it's called, the light blue armor) to some super noob and he almost had an orgasm. That was when I played... Bad times :(
 
Runescape is massively addictive, I lost thousands (estimate) of hours of my life to it and things like school suffered as a result. Be careful.
 
rpg for kids and they get addicted on it dont let him play it hes to young he should go outside and play football with friends. for me personally if i will have kid i will not let him use pc or consoles they should live healthy not like us .

It sucks the time from kids days, i used to play it for a while but was never very addictive, it was just something to do and socialise on it with friends.

Ban him from the computer over summer.
 
One of the worst games I've played. Very addictive though, for no apparent reason.

My education was really quite messed up due to my lack of self discipline with MMOs, mainly SWG and RF Online. Then uni came around and I got into WoW, clever me!

Definitely stop it now, otherwise it could get bad.
 
Great game, wasted quite a few hours playing it. Basically what happens, he'll get bored of playing for free and then your 10 year old will probably want to pay for it ($5 a month i think it is). Other than that its a harmless bit of fun.
