Luckly mine finds more interest playing swing ball with me or hitting ballons around the living room... and yes hes 11

no im not justifying my self as when i was 4 years old and my father bought some kinda console and i was sucked to it while i could have done better things

suffering would be what he did when he grew up as a fat loser addicted to online games because he got no encouragement to go play out off his parents!

I know too many of them, and im definately buying a whip when I have to go cradle shopping.

Nothing wrong with encouragement to go and have a game of football, or something like that. But banning someone from something altogether, for your OWN lack of self control is just stupid and unfair.

To the OP, IMO you should let your kid play what he wants, just don't let it go out of control. Make sure he takes breaks from the PC etc, just so he can get some fresh air.

He's not referring to you, he's referring to the 10 year old and his potential future.
