Can i put runflats on any wheels, been offered some good ones taken off at a very good price (and i am a complete ***** :( )

No the beading on the rim of a runflat wheel is different. You can put normal tyres on a runflat wheel but not the other way around.

You definitely can put them on normal wheels but its a terrible idea. Not only for the ride reasons but as the sidewall is so stiff you can ruin the wheel getting them on and you will find it very difficult to tell if its lost air seeing as you will have no pressure monitors.

They might be a good price but consider when you do need to repair/replace. They ain't cheap! :)

There's not a lot in it from my experience.

Decent normal tyres for the mini are around the £120 mark, only £10 less than a Goodyear excellence or bridge stone what ever it is alternative.

You shouldn't fit them to normal wheels runflat tyres require EH (extended hump) or EH+ bead on the rim to fit properly. Normal tyres will fit on that bead but runflats wont fit onto an H rim properly.

I'm not saying you should do it (infact I'm saying you shouldn't) but they definitely itely will go on and will stay air tight. Not saying you are wrong that they should not be put on standard rims though, what you're saying makes sense

Don't fit secondhand tyres regardless of being runflat or not IMO.

If you need cheap tyres get new and if money is tight get a decent budget tyre. Budgets don't have to be ditch finders, there are decent budgets like Canadian made Westlake or the rally bred Barum Bravuris, Kumho's often score well though I haven't tested them like the others.

Cheaper than premium brand used and better than many mid range tyres.

To confirm, they will fit on normal wheels (:p) perfectly fine, and will be absolutely fine.

I have had RFT's a on non sensor normal wheels. My car didn't explode, my wheels didn't explode. It was all fine and they lasted and felt just the same as any other tyres would have done.
