Running 1 m.2. Add another for raid (Without reinstalling windows)????

I've got a samsung 960 EVO as my op drive. Just bought another and was wondering it i could set them up as raid 0 Without reinstalling windows?
I've downloading the raid driver from intel.
Do i just merge the two in the bios and off i go?

Normally creating a new array will make the existing data on the drive inaccessible

Drives should be initialized before RAIDing them. Initialized will wipe the drive
You could create software RAID in Windows without having to wipe but it's not something I've ever done for performance so unsure of the performance effects.

I've tried windows software raid with NVME and had some very wierd quirks in the performance stats for random write workloads, read seems fine though and performance overall was still better than a single drive. If you want to get the most performance I would lean toward the hardware option if poss

So it looks like best bet is fresh install. Where do I find these Intel drives I need raid ones.

Have you got a use case form raid 0ing your drives? Seems negatively helpful to me, so little to gain

He’s asking if you have a decent reason to run RAID NVME drives. There are very few circumstances where it’d be worth it.

Tried following a number of videos to set up the raid. Finally found the drivers. But set up says couldn't find drives. So now am setting up as normal.
