Hello all

I have a 3x28" monitors, but I also have a spare 22". I was wondering if it's possible for me to power all 3 28"s in eyefinity and the 22" seperately?

I already have 2x5830s in Crossfire, so I can't add another graphics card, and I think they can only power three.

Is there a way of running the 22" off the on-board or something? All I want it for is winamp/temp sensor stuff whilst I'm gaming on the 28"s.

Unless your 5830 has two(+) displayports you're out of luck. If it does a(nother) active displayport adapter should do the trick.

Onboard may or may not work depending on your motherboard. Look through the BIOS options and try to power 1 of your current screens off the onboard.

Nah it doesn't, but I have something called "surround view" which I believe is supposed to offer this kind of functionality...

I enabled the option to turn it on, but instead of all 4 monitors working, the ones on the 5830 stopped working and only the one on on-board worked.

Well thanks to some fiddling, restarting and Axeia suggesting that I could use the on-board as well, I'm actually running 5 monitors.

It's a bit rubbish, if I'm honest. 3 is sufficient.

Cheers!

You need 10 monitors, starting at something like 7" and work your way upto 30". ;)

That is kinda like mine when I run multi monitors, except I don't have even one matching size monitor.
