If I were to get a 5450 for MKV and audio duties over HDMI could I still install a 4870 for the odd casual game?

In the same rig?

How would the games know which card to use?

Would I run into driver issues?

as i recall from previous experiance games use whatever card is set to ouput the primary display. Ie, if the main desktop is being displayed by the 5450 then thats what games will use. as long as the 4870 is displaying the primary desktop then itshould be fine.

probably a bit of a ball ache though (and i dont know if you can install both cards under windows 7) I'd be looking at a single, faster card. 5770 or something.

Thought as much. The rpimary display is the one that drives the game...so depending on what the config is.

Will have a rethink on the best and cheapest way to get this back and running
