Have just moved into a new Uni house, currently with 10Mb NTL broadband an a Linksys Etherfast wired Router feeding the couple of computers we have.
Last year we ran a DC hub on campus and would like to keep this going, since most people who used it don't use IRC and already have DC++ installed.
Our problem is that without the router, we can run a server and have a client on the same PC without any problems, chat, filesharing etc all works, but obviously only 1 PC can be attached.
Installing the router causes problems: even with all the necessary ports open, we can't share files between us. Is there something we're doing wrong? Enabling DMZ for the server IP allows that person to share files, but no-one else can, not even people connecting from elsewhere.
Any networking buffs care to help us?
