Running android apps throug VM's ?

So I managed to get Android KitKat running on a virtual machine but no app will open up after they install from the google play store, Anyone have any experience with this and willing to part some info pretty please ?

Been a while since I used it, but try using Bluestacks instead. Should run everything fine.

If it has to be a VM I have no idea sorry. However in a similar strain I use genymotion for development. It runs perfectly for an emulator and its free as long as you dont need their more specialist options.

Which VM and Android version or distribution you installed on?

I used Google Android SDK to installed Google Play which worked fine installed apps and Bluestacks worked fine installed apps from Google Play.

Not tried install either android 4.4.2 R1-IA2 image from Intel developer site and android-x86-4.4-RC2.iso from android-x86.org on VMWare Workstation yet.
