I bought 30m cat5e external cable so obviously i need to make holes in the wall. One of the room has a hole already running sky's cable. I read that running ethernet cable alongside electrical cables can cause interference. Is this still the case with coaxial? If not that will save me the whole drilling process.

Many thanks.

It will be fine. The impact of running Cat5e alongside power cables is also massively overstated - you will never have an issue in a home environment. That sort of guidance basically means "don't run massive amounts of 3-phase power and network cabling right next to each other in the same cable tray for 60 metres".

I can vouch for this too.

I have 42x runs of cat 6 around the house, a lot run parallel to power cables as well as crossing over the top of the main consumer unit. Reliability and speed (saturated Gig link) not affected.
