hi
just thought id mention it in the right room . ive been running my cpu with no fan for 3 days now with an arctic cooler . it idled at 50 c and when running that dx 11 ungine benchmark it got up to 71 . ive also been playing fallout 3 with no probs at all . ive swapped fans ( the other one was knackered ) and its idling at 33 c now . just thought id let people know it can be done if they didnt already know .

cheers

Wow, impressive! I thought they put out too much heat to do that? Is the NB actively cooled too? I ran a 3GHz P4 passively back in the day...got a bit too hot when watching films though!

hi
its actualy 5 years old its a lian li pc7 . one of the best buys ive done . the northbridge isnt actively cooled no . but mighty impressed with this board so far .

cheers

Isn't Uniengine primarily a GFX card test?

What about when running Prime/LinX? I doubt just a heatsink will be sufficient under full stress without at least a low RPM fan.

hi

yes youre probably right but running fallout 3 would be putting a fair amount of stress on it i would have thought

cheers
