Can it be done? Is there anyway to open up a command window and force it into 32bit or 16bit?

(Trying to play an old DOS game - Police Quest by Sierra :))

Dosbox is great. I recently played Theme Hospital with a friend using it, emulating IPX networking (not supported by Windows 7) over the Internet using Wippien (VPN software) despite TH being local network only :D.

That is awesome! I didnt realise TH was a LAN-able game! How does that work then?

The latest patch added networking support (v1.01 I think). It works by you and whoever you're playing against having two separate hospitals and you both have to compete against each other, buy new etc and not kill as many patients :p.

There are lots of front-ends for dosbox, I used DBGL as it makes it easier to configure games and to set-up networking etc for them.

Configuration is pretty easy. On the server go to 'edit profile' on DBGL and set set the following:

and for the client:

Here you put the IP address of the server. If you use Wippien, Hamachi etc this is the IP address of the server over the VPN. I guess you could use a normal internet IP but you would have to set-up portforwarding etc which you don't have to with VPN.
