Running Gear

I agree with it! i really love Inov-8 running gear, The shoes are pretty awesome :) when i did my Ultra last August, i used a set of Inov 8 Roclite 295 :) What a set of shoes!

Adidas tights and shorts, x-socks sock, Nike jacket, Adidas and Helly Hansen tops..... I've no brand loyalty. It generally depends what is reasonably priced when I'm stocking up, and I tend to buy multiple of the same thing. Been in Saucony shoes for the last few years, but that's because I like the Mirage 2s. This might be the last year I can get that particular model.

Brooks Ghost trainers, or Merrill Trail Glove (depending on distance)
Compression socks for my dodgy calves
Under Armor pants to keep things in place
Lots of Vaseline
Random shorts and t shirt
Garmin 305 with heart rate monitor
SGS5 for the tunes
iFitness Neoprene Hydration Belt 16 oz (amazing, doesn't move whilst running)

I'm always well hydrated so for anything less than 60/90 minutes I don't really see a need to carry water.

Anything longer and I do take a bottle with me along with an OMM bum bag with other things I'll need in as often go running in the hills or away from the city.

And during races I look at how far the water stations are apart from each other and plan accordingly.

I am thinking of replacing my hydration belt with a water backpack. Does anyone use one of these? I think I need to drink way more whilst running. During races at the water stations I chug down the water but am gasping a few miles later and have to ration my small belt bottle. Running 30 miles +. Pee worse than French Onion soup at the end!

I have a Camelbak Octane XCT that I used to use for long runs. Holds up to 3 litres, which is more than I've ever needed. Very comfortable, with additional little pockets for things, like phone, sunglasses, gels, gloves, rain jacket. Also exceptionally useful when filled up with ice, made running around Skiathos in the height of summer bearable. It was useful for any runs over an hour, as that's how long 500ml in my water bottle lasts. Though I really like my water bottle because that just straps to my hand. Nike don't appear to make it anymore, and all the others I've seen are much bulkier.

Mizuno wave raider trainers had 17 now running in 18

Surge T-shirts i just gotten :)

Backpack full of crap :D

Used to run with water atm i can do 10km without drinking no problem :P

I have the following:

New balance trainers
Puma waterproof/windproof jacket
Sondico top base layer
Unbranded bottom base layer.
Slazenger jogging bottoms
Slazenger hoodie

I haven't been on a run in ages, but only because I'm working exclusively on a Stronglifts program. I think after a few more weeks (3 more from today), I'll incorporate some sprinting and medium distance runs on my rest days and up my calories as my gym is right near a race track.

I used to do 8-12 mile runs on a weekly basis, but it's probably not good for my knees.
