Running hot?

My i7 950 at stock is idling at 40 degrees. I have the vantage cooler which I thought should keep it much cooler than that. The computer has been on for a few days though this does seem to be the norm.

Is this normal?

idle temps mean nothing. load temps are important.

mine sits around 40*C when idle, but it's under load you want to make sure it isn't too high
