I've decided to enter the Bath half marathon next march, I'm wanting to keep a log of my runs, I'm sure others must do the same but what sort of data do you record?

So far I have

Date, Distance (miles), Time (hh:mm:ss), Avg Speed (mph), Avg Pace (mpm)

From my weight training log:

How it felt,
Any pains/problems/concerns,
Next time (for recording if I feel I should do something different next time)

Anything my garmin records, which I then upload to the garmin website. Pretty useful.

I seem to recall you have a garmin Paul? If so check out Garminconnect.

I do but it's a pain in the arse trying to get a good signal directly outside my house, so If I want to go out and just run I sometimes can't be arsed to faff about trying to obtain a lock.

I'll have to install the software again later, must say I'm not too keen on the standard software that shipped with it, it's pretty naff.

I use the Garmin software and a spreadsheet thang - logging everything from speed and distance to heart rate and mileage covered in different shoes!

My Log records, Date, time, Distance, Time, Average Heart Rate, Maximum Heart Rate, Pace, Average speed, maximum Speed. Weather condition, my general condition (aches pains, colds, if I've not eaten for a few hours), the type of training (ie. Speed work 1.5 mile warm up, 4*1 mile tempo with 400 metre recovery, 1.5 warm down), and which trainers I was wearing. Much of this comes from the Garmin.
