Running Memory at 1T timing

I'm currently running 2 x 512MB sticks of Corsair XL 2-2-2-5 in my DFI Lan Party NF4 Ultra. I want to run my memory at 1T timing, as I heard this can help with overclocking - I have updated to the latest BIOS, but cannot find where I would change it to 1T…

Can somebody tell me how I go about doing this?

Thanks

W. :)

Hi,
By default the memory timings are probably set to Auto so they will be greyed out. You will need to change this to Manual from the BIOS and then go to the Advanced, Chipset screen to alter the settings.
My knowledge of memory is not great so wait for one of the experts on here but it sounds as though you are trying to make the timings more aggressive which would make it a little harder to OC the memory not easier. It is more likely for high OC the CAS latency would need to be 2.5 or 3, however i did read that going from 2 to 3 can give a significant performance hit so its a trade off.

Some times the option is just called 'Command Rate' , if you 'enable' this the timings are set to 1T.

EDIT : you can check if this has changed it to 1T using the new CPU Z v1.33

I know how to manually set the other timings (ie.2-2-2-5), I just didn't know how to set it to run in 1T - as its automatically running 2T. Command rate sounds like the one I need to change - i'll give that a go tonight.

Thankyou for your help.

/pedantic mode on
Actually it is 'Command Per Clock(CPC)' in the BIOS, eanble=1T, disable=2T
/pedantic mode off
