Running memory slow?

I have a bit of a quandary, my mobo is an Abit IP-35 and as follows:

# 4 X 240-pin DIMM sockets support max. memory capacity 8GB
# Supports Dual channel DDR2 800/667 un-buffered Non-ECC memory

So if I were to buy memory that was faster, e.g. OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz

Any help appreciated

I have some problems, and was just wondering if anyone could help.
I purchased said RAM and installed it and the computer won't POST. I have put the old sticks in and its fine again. Tried one stick of the new stuff, still won't post. Do I have to flash the SPD tables or something on the new ram to set them at a lower speed?

I can't get to the BIOS screen, it just halts at the "Del to enter setup" "Tab to see POST" screen?

Can I set the memory voltage to manual, and then set to 2.1V and then shut down, pull out sticks and swap over to new RAM?
